Employment Planning Services (EPS)
Employment Planning Services are designed to assist a client seeking employment to learn about employment opportunities within the community and to make informed choices. EPS are individualized to assist a client to choose employment outcomes based on their preferences, strengths, abilities and needs. Examples include situational assessments, paid job trials, job tryouts and job shadowing.
Community Employment Services – Job Development (CES-JD)
Successful job development concurrently uses assessment information about the strengths and interests of the client seeking employment to target the types of jobs available from potential employers in the local labor market. Typical job development activities include reviewing local employment opportunities and developing potential employers through direct and indirect promotional strategies.

Community Employment Services – Personnel Services to Employers (CES-PSE)
When a business identifies itself as a personnel service, it pays wages at or above minimum wage and provides a benefit package for all employees when they are on the employer’s payroll. Employment is provided in a regular business setting in the community and career advancement resources are provided.
Employee Development Services
Employee development services are individualized services and supports that assist clients seeking employment to develop or re-establish skills, attitudes, personal characteristics, interpersonal skills, work behaviors, and functional capacities to achieve a positive employment outcome. An example is Work Adjustment Training (WAT).
Organizational Employment Services (OES)
Organizational employment services are designed to provide paid work to the clients served in locations owned, leased, rented, or managed by the service provider. A critical component and value of organizational employment services is to use the capacity of the organization’s employment and training services to create opportunities for clients in order to achieve the desired employment outcome in their community of choice.
Service Coordination (SC)
Service coordination programs provide goal oriented and individualized supports focused on improving self sufficiency for the clients served through assessment, planning, linkage, advocacy, coordination, and monitoring activities. Successful service coordination results in community opportunities and increased independence for the clients served.
Community Integration (COI)
Community integration is designed to help clients optimize their personal, social, and vocational competency to live successfully in the community. Clients are active partners in determining the activities they desire to participate in. Example includes Skills, Education and Training (SET).
